Grootmoeder Dorina sprong op nationaal niveau. Ze stamt via haar vader Donnerschall af van de legendarische dressuurhengst Donnerhall. Deze presteerde zelf in de Grand Prix dressuur. Donnerhall heeft meer dan honderd goedgekeurde zonen. Via de Hannoveraanse hengst Grand Ferdinand II voert Guess het gewaardeerde bloed van Grande, die tot de stempelhengsten van de Hannoveraanse fokkerij behoort. In Nederland is deze stam tot wasdom gekomen via de merrie Falstergold (v. Aristides), de moeder van Niagara (v. Important).

Bordeaux started his career as a Champion of the KWPN-stallion show and he was the best stallion in the 2009 performance test. He became previous year Pavo Cup winner. He got a good review for his offspring. Dam Sunny is a half bloodmare of Sunlight xx, a son of Derby-winner Tarim xx. Sunlight xx is one of the few thoroughbred stallions who did in Germany a good 100-days performance test. Granddam Dorina jumped at national level. She descends by means of her sire Donnerschall of the legendary dressage sire Donnerhall. He performed himself in the Grand Prix dressage. Donnerhall have more than hundred licensed sons. Guess carries the blood of the valuable sire Grande via the Hanoverian stallion Grand Ferdinand II. He belongs to one of the top-class sires in Hanoverian breeding. In the Netherlands this lineage is known via mare Falstergold (Aristides) dam of Niagara (Important).
