Voor het vaderschap van Kyra tekent springkanon Douglas. Hij presteerde zelf op 1.50m-niveau en heeft zich weten te ontwikkelen tot een gewaardeerde vererver. Bekende producten zijn Dallas VDL, Suma’s Zorro, Dougie Douglas en The Pugilist. Via de befaamde stempelhengst Contender, vader van topspringpaarden als Montender, Checkmate, Carlo en Chiara, gaat de lijn terug op grootmoeder Zomara. Zij is ook grootmoeder van het internationale 1.45m-springpaard Edesa’s Sebo (v.Concorde) van Cian O’Connor en uit deze directe lijn komt ook het nationale springpaard Zinnia (v.Napels). Zomara combineert de topverervers Cor de la Bryere en Landgraf I, waarmee Kyra over een hoogstaande bloedopbouw beschikt.
